Summary Review
|

It seems a lot of the sportsbooks out there are trying to capitalize on the poker craze, but it doesn't seem as if this capitalization has been successful at this point. After all, if you're used to getting your shoes from Foot Locker and your burgers from McDonalds, it wouldn't matter if Foot Locker starting peddling quarter pounders with cheese, because you have a certain comfort level with McDonalds. The only way you would start buying your food at Foot Locker would be if they had a superior product. Does SkyBook Poker have a superior poker product or are they another Foot Locker trying to sell burgers? By the way, I hate McDonalds.

Skybook - The Poker Site
SkyBook Poker's poker area is a befuddling one, for it seems more interested with pimping its sportsbook then actually trying to suck people into downloading the SkyBook Poker software. It's as if Taco Bell put signs up saying, "Go to Pizza Hut, they have better deals." Both are owned by the same company sure, but each should be trying to promote his own product, unless of course the tacos at Taco Bell were somehow flawed. Which tells me the poker at SkyBook Poker is flawed. A MacGyver-like deduction if I say so myself.
The banking options are a plethora of useless third party financiers, although somewhere in the clutter I saw NETeller. And if you don't have a NETeller account by now, it's like not having Microsoft Windows for your OS. They are the evil empire and they make your life hell without them.
Skybook - Playing the Poker
SkyBook Poker sports a graphically impressive 3-D poker room, although I'm not certain if I endorse anything with a vertical poker table. In fact, it's hard to see much of anything, which begs the question concerning technology that drunk Heidegger kept chirping in my ear about.
Skybook Bonuses and Poker Promos
Rather than give you an actual bonus, SkyBook Poker a weekly "$250 giveaway," which means they will hold a free poker tournament if you deposit $100 or more. Now you must be saying to yourself, "I don't get a bonus, I have to win a poker tournament to get $250?" Well, not quite Sonny, for you see, the $250 is split between first, second and third place, so you're actually gunning for a whopping $125. Yeah. You might want to venture toward the SkyBook Poker sportsbook, which offers 10% on deposits of $500 or more. They seem to want you there anyway. There are also other insane SkyBook Poker contests, prizes and floozy calendars, but I'm sure none of these will replace the wonders of actually receiving cash, so I won't bore you with the details.
Skybook Poker Service
Ah yes, the wonders of dealing with the Costa Rican government, er, people. The wildness of the tropical rainforest typically turns customer service into belligerent people and I sometimes cringe when I need to call Costa Rica for some customer service. SkyBook Poker is no exception and their lousy service is made worse by their accents that are hard to understand. I suggest you send any potential queries to SkyBook Poker email staff and hope that they reply in the next 72 hours.
Skybook Overall Poker Rating
SkyBook Poker seems more interested in tallying receipts for the SkyBook Poker sportsbook then actually running a great poker room. Sure, the graphics are nice, but what are good are graphics when you don't even know what the hell is going on. You won't have a problem with getting your money out, but the poker experience is only ok. Bring me the horizontal room and bring me Contra for old school Nintendo. Up, down, left, right, left, right, A, B, start. Thirty lives baby and two stars.
