Summary Review

InterPoker! Get it? They turned internet poker to InterPoker! Genius! Yet if we were to crown them king based on such a dynamic and witty name, it wouldn't be fair to all the other poker sites, now would it? Thus an inspection was necessary, to which we found that InterPoker does in fact exhibit some redeeming qualities, such as unique bonuses and satellites to the World Series of Poker and should not be looked upon lightly. On the other hand, boy does it have a stupid looking webpage. Sip your whiskey and pop your pills folks, it's review time!

The Poker Website
InterPoker sports one of the lamest and perhaps most homosexual looking websites on the planet, with a giant picture of two men staring at each other intently, with only their cards separating them. Engaging yes, if I was of that ilk and when I asked my gay friend Richard if this set off the old gaydar, he immediately wrote down the URL for further, private inspection. The interesting thing is this picture is everywhere and is impossible to escape no matter how many links you click. It seems to be the very face or faces of InterPoker and it makes me scared to even click on this "Where's Ryan" promotion, for fear that Ryan may be nude and in some uncomfortable position. But we shall brave that path in the bonus section. For now, we shall inspect the virtues or lack thereof of the website itself.
InterPoker is generous to let us know how many players are online and we can deduce that on average about 3,500 people are. Not bad, but I wonder what that translates to as far as table players. Hell, anyone can be online, that statement is as ambiguous as a Jason Giambi apology.
On the tournament front, the multi table tourneys can be as high as $4,000, which is a medium level cash prize. The bad beat jackpot is equally uninspiring, as when I saw it, it was around $3,500. Not much of a jackpot, if I say so myself. And I did. Say so. Myself. The one saving grace is the satellite event to the World Series of Poker, although most poker sites have these types of things anyway. So it's a grace, but not a saving grace. As Michael Ray Richardson would say, the ship be sinkin'.
Online Poker Registration and Cashier
Overall navigation is simple and whether you have downloaded the software or being a paranoid freak you decided on ordering the cd itself, once the program is installed you are ready to go. Fill out the necessary fields and a PIN will be sent to you along with the secret location of the jade cat. Follow the instructions to glory.
Deposits can be made through NETeller, Citadel, FirePay and the old credit cards/check/bank wire combo. By the way, if you were to rate the third party money agents, NETeller would be Michael Jordan, FirePay would be Magic Johnson and Citadel would be Dan Majerle. Not in terms of quality, of course, but in popularity. In the end, all these companies are snakes I tell you, snakes and you are Indiana Jones, a man who hates snakes.
Bonuses and Poker Promotions
The bonuses are what make InterPoker go round. Rather than entertain you with a paltry welcome bonus, InterPoker provides the luxury of a 100% monthly bonus up to $90 on deposits. To earn the bonus, play five raked hands for every bonus dollar, which is hardly bad at all compared to other poker sites.
The second bonus involves InterPoker paying you to play at a table. Now if the monthly bonus didn't reek of desperation, surely this does. Still, you must take advantage of such desperation, the same way you date the hot girl on campus the week after she breaks up with her boyfriend. By the same token, you can't expect long term results from InterPoker, the same way you don't expect this hot girl to marry you, you just want to have crazy-freaky rebound fornications.
The third bonus is the Royal Flush jackpot, for which if you get a royal flush, you are eligible for $500. Don't worry, it won't happen anyways. Or will it...
Now we come to what we've all been waiting for, "Where's Ryan." When I first saw this promotion, I immediately assumed this was some link to some gay porn section. Where the picture on the main page was the appetizer, this "Ryan" was the main course. Yet my duty is to the people and with a grimace and one closed eye, I clicked on the promotion. Turns out "Where's Ryan" is a random $10 to $100 promo given each day. I am relieved and at the same time...oddly disappointed.
Online Poker Customer Service
"I can't beleive it I hit another royal flush!!!!!! What a great promotion."
- TClifton
A visit to the testimonial area gives you these type of tidbits, which is a lot like trying to figure out the truth in a room full of exaggerators. Now as far as our friend Cliffy is concerned, the odds of a royal flush are about 650,000 to 1. The odds of the same person hitting two of them in the same month? Not very good. Now we can infer two things here - One, the random number generator for InterPoker is hardly random and two, if Cliffy's testimonial is the best they have, they must not have much to go on. After all, when the exaggerator says he killed a spider the size of a television, you can probably deduce it was the size of a quarter. I know, that doesn't make much sense, but bear with me here, I'm insane.
InterPoker has a toll free number for both domestic and international calls, as well as an email for the phone-impaired. In fact they offer 7/24 customer service, which is the same as 24/7, only you have to take into account that InterPoker people are foreigners. Which, in turn, says a lot about their phone service. Perhaps InterPoker stands for international poker, which completely throws off my first paragraph.
Overall Poker Rating
What InterPoker lacks in heterosexuality, it more than doubles what is expected in the bonus department. Although this sets off many an alarm in my head, it's not like sportsbooks where your money is in danger, because other players are paying you out. Although I believe experienced players will find the action slim, small-time or new players can take advantage of the bonuses and get plenty of tables, perhaps even get paid to play.
