Summary Review
|

Gaming Club is a specialized internet gambling site - bringing you various types of cyber poker tables you can "sit down" at and bet away to your heart's content (pot limit, fixed limit or the only-for-the-brave-or-stupid no limit). The online gambling tables fall under various categories (games featured are Texas Hold 'em, Omaha, 7-card Stud, 5-card Stud and One-On-One) and various betting levels (Mini - Under $1, Low $1 to $4, Medium $5 to $20, High Over $20). There are also daily Texas Hold 'Em Tournaments and special big-money weekend Texas Hold 'Em Tournaments. As a bonus, Gaming Club offers free casino games. The online gambling software works well and it's fun to play against the other cyber-players - but if you're looking for bonuses and deals, it's not going to happen here. The customer phone line told me there was a sign-up bonus - but I could not actually find it on Gaming Club. This is another of the big professional Belle Gaming online casino sites - but like the real-life big professional casinos, they're not so much interested in helping you out as in cleaning you out.

Gaming Club is a specialized internet gambling site - bringing you various types of cyber poker tables at which you can "sit down" and bet away to your heart's content (pot limit, fixed limit or the only-for-the-brave-or-stupid no limit). The online gambling tables fall under various categories (games featured are Texas Hold 'em, Omaha, 7-card Stud, 5-card Stud and One-On-One) and various betting levels (Mini - Under $1, Low $1 to $4, Medium $5 to $20, High Over $20). There are also every day Texas Hold 'Em Tournaments and special big-money weekend Texas Hold 'Em Tournaments.
The Name of These Games
The various Gaming Club rooms contained in each category of poker are randomly named after movies, television shows, American Presidents, songs, whatever. Let's see...do I want to gamble in "Pulp Fiction" or "The Hulk?" There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to this, but there are some impressive obscure cultural references (such as two rooms named after the socially-conscious silent movies, "Big Parade" and "The Crowd" - hey, you poker-playing King Vidor fans, this is the place for you!). There were at least three thousand players online whenever I logged on, so you'll always be able to find a seat in a variety of Gaming Club rooms at a variety of money levels. If there's a particular room that's full, you can put yourself on a waiting list, but there's really no need. You can probably find another comparable Gaming Club room to play in.
Making Your Poker Play
Once you've made your Gaming Club room pick, you can either choose to sit out a few poker hands and check out the players - hey, that GOOMBA89 is bluffing! Raise the pot, MUFFINYUM! - or, if a seat is available, just dive right into the action. Poker Players are given thirty seconds to raise, call, check or fold - if they don't respond in time, they're thrown out of that particular poker hand. You can also chat with the other poker players if you want - but in most of the Gaming Club rooms I visited, people just wanted less talk, more playing poker. And the poker play goes very smoothly. The Gaming Club software works well, after an initial large download and actual poker play is easy to follow and participate in.
No Bonus About it
When I signed up at Gaming Club , I couldn't find any information about any kind of sign-up bonus. I decided to call customer service (there is no online live help, just an e-mail address, as well as the support toll-free number). A recording immediately asked me to punch in my account number by the recording, which put me off - the number is long and complicated and I only wanted to ask a simple question. I didn't put in the number. I was then automatically switched to the hold music - and another helpful recording told me I could leave a message! I didn't. Finally, roughly three minutes later, a real-live person came on and told me there was a sign-up bonus of 200 credits if you put in twenty dollars. I did put in the twenty dollars, but was unable to find any kind of bonus. Since the Gaming Club help line seems to be for all the Belle Rock Gaming sites, maybe the support person was confused. In any event, since this company runs many online casinos, specific site support and general hand-holding are in a little short supply.
Once you rack up enough gambling points, however, you CAN earn $50 by referring a friend - but the friend has to download the Gaming Club software and deposit $30 for you to collect. So if you're looking for freebies - look elsewhere.
Made for Poker Play
Gaming Club, despite their free casino game play, is made for those interested in table poker play with other online players. It's not about bonuses, it's not about helpful management, it's about plunking your cyberbutt down in the Gaming Club room of your choice ("Under Siege," anyone?) and anteing up your cyberchips. On that level, it's a good online gambling bet. The Belle Gaming online casino sites are a lot like the real-life big professional casinos - they're not so much interested in helping you out as in cleaning you out.
