So you get a room at the Imperial Palace, a place that seems to be a combination of the entire 1980's and dubbed Kung Fu flicks. 7Sultans Poker's website is the same way, with cheesy graphics, colors and a name that actually makes the Imperial Palace sound cool. Luckily for 7Sultans Poker, there are people in this world who don't judge a book by its cover and perhaps that is the clientele they are targeting.

The Look
The 7Sultans Poker website, as indicated, is a magical land of Arabian poker playing warriors who play the traditional desert game of Texas Hold 'em. Although the metaphoric connection between the cards and the powers of Aladdin are lost to me, as far as the actual play is concerned, 7Sultans Poker offers a plethora of satellites to big name tournaments, including the World Series of Poker and the WPT. In addition, there are plenty of regularly scheduled tournaments from $1,500 to $75,000, as well as cash games for up to $50 buy-ins. There are also daily freeroll $200 and $1,000 freeroll tournaments.
Registration
As the website says, you must "look for any download button," which as you may have guessed, is hardly difficult. The "download button" is everywhere, on the left, on the right, in the middle, and in my dreams. Or perhaps they are nightmares. It remains to be determined. After completion of this download, you must install and then register, creating a poker alias in the meantime. This reminds me of that horrible TV show, Alias. Although I have never actually watched this show, the commercials provide me with more than enough information to draw a conclusion. What's your name? Imma. Imma what? I'm a gonna kick your ass. Right. And Jennifer Garner? Highly overrated. In fact, I have strong suspicions that Jennifer Garner's real name is Brad.
Bonuses and Promotions
7Sultans Poker has a strange bonus policy, involving a point system and complicated algorithms that secure the fate of the entire world. For every 600 "Bonus redemption points" you earn, you receive a bonus of $20, up to $200. What a bonus redemption point is I have no clue. I even asked my mutated chimp Apples what it meant and he was extremely baffled, despite having an IQ of 89. An 89 IQ is not impressive, you say? Well, I am inclined to agree, but he's still the smartest organism in the house.
The referral bonus is $50, although the person you refer must deposit at least $20 and play a minimum of 250 raked hands. There is also a random "magic hand" bonus which can net you $250 and a bad beat jackpot bonus.
Poker Customer Service
With 24/7 live chat, email and toll free numbers in about a gagillion countries, 7Sultans Poker gives you every opportunity to call in your quarrels. I'm assuming each of the different countries services the various languages people speak, yet when I called in the US line I got a man named Hans with a ridiculously funny accent. Which broke me into five minutes of "Yah Hans, this is berry good cha-co-lat, yah" jokes. In any case, Hans was a rather polite fellow and I don't mean to hold his windmill and cheese background against him, especially since I am a huge fan of his country's drug policy. On the other hand, I was not so excited about the wait time for getting Hans on the phone, since it took roughly about ten to fifteen seconds before I got a live person. Perhaps the customer service department is on a delightful acid trip, which would explain the slow reply to my emails.
Overall Online Poker Rating
Well, they say you can't judge a book by its cover, but in the case of 7Sultans Poker, the play is only slightly as aggravating as the cover. I do, however, must make mention of the quality satellite tournaments offered by the site and if tournament play is what you're looking for, 7Sultans Poker may suffice. Kind of like how the Imperial Palace is still on the strip and like they say, who sleeps in Las Vegas anyway? On the other hand, I'm still not sure what in Ali Baba is with the whole sultan of poker thing. Apples is telling me two stars and I'm inclined to agree.
